Social media describes websites that allow users to share content, media, etc. Common examples are the popular social networking sites like Facebook, MySpace, etc. Social media also includes YouTube, Photobucket, Flickr, and other sites aimed at photo and video sharing. News aggregation and online reference sources, examples of which are Digg and Wikipedia, are also counted in the social media bucket. Social media describes online media with a participatory or interactive component.

According to some rumour that is delivered online becomes social media if there is a place for readers to comment on the news story. Blogs, forums, and chat rooms are all social media, because they include an interactive component. At the present day, lots of people using these way for communicate the others.

Marketing and public relationship using social media involves creating social media content like starting blog or forums. One of the big concerns about using social media for business and marketing is time. Social media activities do pose a rsik of drawing you in and taking up huge amount of your day just interacting with people.
